“Katrina, was an excellent tour guide. She made the trip. She’s amazing, speaking fluent Greek, English and German (as she is German). She gave amazing history and facts as we travelled to the caves. She very kindly waited in the queue so we could take shade, get something to drink & eat. The caves were wonderful. Tonight I’ve been to St Gerasimos on Katrina’s recommendation. A lovely trip, a great guide and a very calm and competent coach driver. I highly recommend Avalon tours. Wonderful.”

The wine tasting was very well organised and very aesthetically pleasing-if that’s something that appeals to you. The ticket price for Drogarati was €6 for an adult and €3 for a child and the price for Melissani was €10 per adult and €5 per child. I couldn’t recommend this enough. “Great day trip we really enjoyed it. Guide was very knowledgeable and very pleasant and helpful. Driver was great and very safe standard of driving. We visited Assos and Fiskardo along with a photo stop over Mertos beach then a couple of stops at Melissani cave and Drogorati cave. Plenty of time to see everything and a good way of seeing a lot of the island. The only negative was the air conditioning in the coach could have been slightly cooler but to be fair it was a really hot day and it was probably struggling to keep up. Otherwise a great tour.”
